The protagonist of this canvas is the son of the doctor and republican Manuel Ruiz Maya. For this canvas he repeats the guidelines set in those of “girls” or “good little girls”, although the sweetness of the facial features and the innocence of the expression draw attention along with the intensity of the child’s blue eyes.
