The portrait is a female visage of the last period of his lifetime, in 1929. The composition reproduces one of his studies of expression named “Chiquitas Buenas” (Good Little Girls).
In spite of being plain and austere in its means, he hold a great expressiveness. The young girl appears hair-dressed in a “garçon” style. The only accessory is a pearl pending from her ear in a perfect chiaroscuro. In the background, as a frame of the composition, there is a landscape slightly outlined.
